These rates are subject to change each year and are approved in the annual budgeting process.
Organizational Capabilities
To provide the above services CMMPA has the following capabilities:
- Forecasting: CMMPA utilizes Neural Net based software to forecast system loads. Accurate forecasts are critical to minimizing market risk and purchasing decisions. We also monitor the accuracy of SCADA measurements and forecasting.
- Monitoring your energy: CMMPA will connect and monitor your city’s load or generation inexpensively via the Internet
- Load Aggregation: CMMPA aggregates small municipal loads for purchasing leverage.
- Scheduling: resources, bilateral contracts and the MISO day ahead or real-time markets to meet your load obligation
- Submitting Load Bids, Financial Schedules, Meter Readings
- Imports and Exports to and from the MISO Footprint.

- Full Service Billing: CMMPA will segregate each entity’s accounting hour by hour. This includes processing each member’s MISO bill each day to provide you with a nicely organized MISO bill and summary page. Our full service billing also includes Shadow Calculation of MISO charges and MISO Dispute Filing
- Submittal of SCADA meter readings to MISO so that you do not have to rely on MISO state estimator estimates for billing
- Instant Access via our Web site: For your convenience, our Web site keeps timely information at your fingertips. Just enter your member log-in. From our Web site, you can:
- View both MISO and Internal schedule charges: Our Web site displays both shadow calculations and other calculations for you to review.
- View day-by-day history of city load/generation and scheduled energy sources/net position
- View load duration curves
- View MISO DA and RT Market Costs on a hourly and 5 minute basis
- Text Messaging: CMMPA has the ability to text e-mail the MISO Market LMP pricing data to operator/manager cell phones
- Technical Interfacing Expertise with the MISO Portal and Digital Certificates
